The aim of the movie is to create quite a luxurious vibe to the setting. The film is set in Dubai which is known as a city associated with wealth and lavishness. This will help connote that Valeriana - the protagonist is well off in life, successful and lives every girl's dream life.

 

Valeriana is also presented as very feminine and independent with certain elements such as the use of the colour pink which is a girly colour, stereotypically. A lot of ideas of beauty and makeup being essential to a woman is demonstrated in the opening sequence with makeup products to add on more to the aspect of femininity. 

The protagonist is also created to be a workaholic and very determined for further success in life and everything revolving around her education and studies.
